Are We Worthy?

On The First Sunday Of EVERY MONTH, In Church We Have Or Holy Communion, Which Symbolizes Jesus' Last Supper With The Disciples. During The Dinner, Jesus Predicts He Will Suffer Soon After This Meal And It Will Be His Last Meal Prior To Finishing His Work On Behalf Of The Kingdom Of God (Luke 22:15-16). Second, Jesus Gives His Followers Symbols Of Remembrance For His Body And His Blood Sacrificed On Behalf Of All Humanity.

"And He Took Bread, Gave Thanks And Broke It, And Gave It To Them Saying, 'This Is My Body Given For You; Do This In Remembrance Of Me'" (Luke 22:19).

Growing Up Apostolic, We Were Taught About The Holy Communion And Its Meaning(S), But My Bishop Would Always Say, Let Each Man Examine Himself, Before He Prayed. He Would Also Say That Men Should Not Come To The Table Unworthily, Because For This Reason Men Are Gravely Ill. Meaning Men Have Died For Taking Communion Without Being Worthy.

"Examine Yourselves, Whether Ye Be In The Faith; Prove Your Own Selves. Know Ye Not Your Own Selves, How That Jesus Christ Is In You, Except Ye Be Reprobates?" (2 Corinthians 13:5)

As A Kid I Would Repent Because I NEVER Felt Worthy To Take Of The Lord Supper, Because The Things That I Heard Were Sins. At One Moment, I Was Convinced That Getting Detention In School Would Land Me In Hell. With Everyone Being Full Of Sin, How Are We Ever Going To Be Worthy.

As I Have Grown, I Have Studied And I Have Learned That, Communion Is A Covenant With God. The Agreement Is Between You Two. No Priest, Bishop, Pastor, Ministers And/Or Lay Members Can Judge You For Your Assumed Sins. If God Forgave You (Which He Did When He Allowed His Son To Die) Then Repentance Is The Only Thing That Needs To Be Done To Examine Yourself For Communion.

Religion & Doctrine Have To Much Control Over People's Lives… So We Have To Stop Allowing Things To Rule Us…. We Need To Allow The Holy Ghost To Rule & Guide Us!

Random But Hey, It was Something I Think About EVERY First Of the Month!!
