These are words to describe how we live life & how we Want Things!
We live in a time when everything is rushed. We want EVERYTHING now, but we neglect to wait and be patient. We pray and we expect God to grant our request “SUDDENLY” When in all actuality that is not how it works. Faith & Your Request MUST MATCH. If they do not match then there comes a period of waiting or training. However, we have become so IMPATIENT that If God does not give it to us RIGHT AWAY, we attempt to make it happen and that is when we fall into destruction.
When we wait on God, He does not always take us the Fast way or the Easy Way. In Exodus 13: 17-18, when Pharaoh Let the People Go, God Did not take them The Fastest Route. He took them around the desert and through the sea, because he knew what they could handle and when. Had they went the shorter route they would have had to fight their way through and in the fight, they probably would have given up. By going the long way, God was able to give them endurance.
This Morning, I realized that everything happens for reasons, “DETOURS!” My Window inside of the car was smeared, so I stopped at the gas station to clean it off. In the 3 minutes it took me to stop, clean and get back in the car, I couldn’t help but think what God was saving me from. Once I got back into my car, I proceeded on the road and was annoyed because I was now behind a slow driver. Then I saw “A Ram in the Bush” or More like “Police in the Cut” Just chilling waiting for speeders.
Yesterday, I changed my phone number creating a “DEAD END” The number change was more of a way to get rid of some of the “Do Not Reply” entries in my phone. We all know you can delete number out your phone but as long as those “Do Not Answer” people in your life have your number, “Hell” Can Find you where you are. Some situations need to come to a Dead End, Where there is “NO WAY IN & NO WAY OUT” But Through God. Some things you need To Stop & Cut off at the Root because in this season, “God is preparing you TODAY for Where HE Wants to Take You TOMORROW”
When we see “Detour” or “Dead End” Signs we automatically know that either there is no was out or there is Danger ahead. So we become alert, aware & prepared. However, spiritually those signs don’t pop up as apparent. That is why we have to seek His face, Fast & Pray. So That he can protect us, Guide Us, Lead Us and Prove Us!
So Next time something happens or does not happen that is not on your schedule, “Count It All JOY,” because God is up to something ;)
