Justice for Trayvon Martin

Someone told me about the Trayvon Martin killing… He was the young man in Florida that got shot coming back from getting himself some Skittles and Aroniza Tea. An overzealous neighborhood watch captain saw him walking and called the police stating a "suspicious" man was walking around the neighborhood, the dispacther told him not to follow the "suspicious" person. Yet, Zimmerman followed him and shot him and stated that he shot the young man in self defense.

DO YOU SEE THE THREAT?

I listened and goggle but I never looked at pictures, however, today I looked at a picture of him and the killer, you could tell that that boy was a kid and she was not big by any means…. Now that Zimmerman boy was fat and older, if he wanted he could have pinned the boy down until police got there… although the police told him to not follow the boy and that's the sad part. People study then play the system, but I was reading one report that said other neighbors called cause they heard the boy screaming for help. To me that seems like that boy wasn't trying to mess with that man, but that man wanted to prove he was tough on crime and he made that boy an example.  Then I also blame the boy, because

I think of the boy of cried wolf, if Zimmerman called multiple times for petty stuff going on in the neighborhood, regardless of your thoughts of him, the police should have responded in a sufficient amount of time. Oh and another thing, witnesses said they heard the little boy screaming and the police corrected them and insisted that it was Zimmerman screaming.

The 911 calls made that day concerning the situation were leaked http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/16/trayvon-martin-911-audio-_n_1354909.html?ref=mostpopular . I was listening to one of the calls, you can hear the boy screaming, and you hear the gun shot.

However, it is sad, and it is not to sound racist if martin had of shot him for following him and attacking in self-defense him the headlines would be calling him a vicious teen or a thug or a gang banger who killed an innocent neighborhood watch member…. OR if Martin were the neighborhood watch guy who shot a white kid who was in the neighborhood, he would have been charged with manslaughter or second degree by now and it would be reading how he shot a white teen in cold blood.

We as a community (black and white) need to come together for this innocent young man like we did for Jena 6 and as we did for Troy Davis. So Why is George Zimmerman Still Free and Yet to Be Charged?  The Police Chief Bill Lee released a statement saying, ““We are taking a beating over this. This is all very unsettling. I’m sure if George Zimmerman had the opportunity to relive Sunday, Feb. 26, he’d probably do things differently. I’m sure Trayvon would, too.””  It seems to me as if the police are kind of suppourting Zimmerman and blaming Trayvon for being in a neighborhood with a crazy neighborhood watch dog. 

This is when the NAACP should step in, for justice of our youth! And where is that  ordained media whore Jesse Jackson? It is very distressing to me that we can help solve problems in other countries but we can't help and fix our own. We turn a blind eye and allow injustice to continue to happen.SMH!  I fear because Trayvon could have been your child, your cousin, your brother, your nephew, your mentee, walking home from school and decided oneday to take a shortcut and get shot for making the wrong turn.

America made a huge jump forward and is now slowly stepping back. "THOSE WHO DO NOT LEARN FROM HISTORY ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT!"
