Fall Consecration

 Consecration
19 Day Daniel Fast
November 2 – November 20, 2015
“...And let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink” (Daniel 10:3)
Reclaiming & Renewing!!

What is A Consecration?

Making sacred; dedicating to the service and worship of God; separated from a common use to a sacred one. Metaphorically meaning perfect although not faultless, but bringing to a state of completion and fulfillment; to renew, to complete, mature, reaching the intended goal; to finish a work or duty.

Fasting is the greatest spiritual discipline for seeking God’s intervention. The normal fast is going without food for a definite period, during which you ingest only liquids (water, and/or juice). An absolute fast allows no food or water at all, and should be for a short period. A partial fast is one that omits certain foods or is on a schedule that includes limited eating. It may consist of omitting one meal a day. Eating only fresh vegetables for several days is also a good fast.

Always seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit before you begin your fast!

Prayer is the communication between God and the believer. Two-way communication requires listening, speaking and trusting.
• Fasting is the ultimate act of humility to God.
• Fasting is a tool used during consecration.
• It is a switch from the physical to the spiritual.
• It is moving from the seen to the unseen manna of the Word of God.
• It is a dining at the Master’s table only, expecting to be filled from on high.
• It is a cleanser and a change agent in the lives of those who believe.
• It is an act of submission and commitment to the will of God.

The foundation of fasting and prayer is repentance. Prepare your heart by confessing every sin that he Holy Spirit calls to your remembrance and accept God’s forgiveness (I John 1:9), ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18) and meditate on the attributes of God, His love, sovereignty, power wisdom, faithfulness, grace, and compassion. (Psalm 48:9-10; 103:1-13).
